The Real Estate Lead, Standards, Process & Governance for Capital projects (m/f/d) takes ownership for Novartis Real Estate Capital Projects process landscape and ensures required standards are developed and followed. They ensure, together with different internal and external stakeholders, that the processes are maintained, updated and ensure alignment with Novartis Business Process standards. Additionally, they are responsible to the key metrics that continuously benchmark performance to industry standards.
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
The Real Estate Lead, Standards, Process & Governance for Capital projects (m/f/d) takes ownership for Novartis Real Estate Capital Projects process landscape and ensures required standards are developed and followed. They ensure, together with different internal and external stakeholders, that the processes are maintained, updated and ensure alignment with Novartis Business Process standards. Additionally, they are responsible to the key metrics that continuously benchmark performance to industry standards.

You will align and work closely with other domains within Operations and Novartis, to ensure process touchpoints are well define, especially with finance, procurement and People & Organization (HR).Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Set clear objectives for the Capital Projects Process, ensure project excellence and alignment with global Real estate vision
- Work closely with process owners from other domains who are in strong interactions with Real Estate (Procurement, IT and Finance)
- Drives productivity improvements through process excellence
- Owns capital management process and conduct gap analysis as part of process improvement cycle, and update as-is process into the to-be processes
- Review technology & data needs, and provide business requirements
- Ensures well functioning governance framework to implement Capital Projects, while cooperating with Subject matter experts and external partners to drive change management initiatives
- Define, simplify & document standard Capital Projects processes, information flows and controls at global level to strive for operational excellence benchmarking with best in class organizations
- Leads common Capital Projects process documentation standard and offers training methodology incl. work instructions in line with the chosen Novartis tools to do so (at the moment ADONIS)

- University Degree, MBA desirable
- Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience. Strong technical competencies required in operational exposure to different areas in REFS with large focus on Capital Projects, deep knowledge of Capital Projects Processes in the industry and Business Process re-engineering.
- Profound project management and change management skills.
- Proven stakeholder management competencies / experiences.
- Fluent spoken and written professional English are a must. Other foreign languages nice to have.
